Congressman Jim Ryun

Breaking the world record for the mile at age 19, Jim Ryun has inspired generations. The three-time U.S. Olympian in the 1,500-meters, he held the world record in five events and earned a silver medal in 1968. Ryun served five terms representing the Second Congressional District of Kansas. Founder of Jim Ryun Sports, Inc., he has also created "Sounds of Success," a program for hearing impaired children. Jim’s books include In Quest of Gold, Heroes Among Us: Deep Within Each of Us Dwells the Heart of a Hero, and the inspirational devotional, Courage to Run: Inspiration for Winning the Race of Your Life.

Immaculée Ilibagiza

Her book, Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust, has sold over 250,000 copies worldwide. An engineering student whose life was transformed in 1994, Immaculée survived the Rwanda genocide but lost most of her family and many friends. Four years later, she immigrated to the United States and began working for the United Nations in New York City. She established the Left to Tell Charitable Fund to help others heal from the long-term effects of genocide and war. Immaculée shares more of her journey in her latest book, Led By Faith: Rising from the Ashes to be released in September 2008.

Stephen Mansfield

A writer, lecturer and statesman, Stephen Mansfield is becoming one of the nation’s most respected voices on faith and American culture. This former pastor founded a nationwide network of agencies serving the poor and became a diplomat internationally known for helping rebuild Kurdistan after the first Gulf War. Stephen’s great love of history inspired his biographies of Sir Winston Churchill, Booker T. Washington and George Whitefield, as well as a book with the intriguing title, More Than Dates and Dead People.  More recently, he received Pentagon permission to be embedded with U.S. troops in Iraq while researching his 2005 book, The Faith of the American Soldier.

Brigadier General Charlie Duke

Apollo 16 Astronaut Charlie Duke became the tenth man to walk on the moon. His love of flying began after graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy when he was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force. Charlie was one of 19 astronauts selected by NASA in 1966. He served as lunar module pilot on the fifth manned lunar mission, receiving the NASA Distinguished Service Medal. Since his retirement, Charlie was appointed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to the NASA Advisory Council. Presently, he is owner of Charlie Duke Enterprises and president of Duke Investments. He and his wife Dottie authored the book, Moonwalker.
